Uranus in Taurus:        (5/6/18 – 7/7/25)

Uranus, (Fixed, air) the great awakener, sets the tone for drastic change and large- scale revolution; is the great disrupter; is in fall in Taurus.

The sign that Uranus is in exposes how we rebel.

Uranus shoves us out of our comfort zone by propelling dynamic upheaval.

Uranus seeks shock value to change the world.  It is connected to technology, medical advancements, coup d’etats and progressive ideologies.

Taurus, (Fixed Earth) loves tradition, conventionality, following the rules; values institutions and the physical realm and anything related to the five senses.  Taurus anchors us in material reality.

Taurus rules our finances, food, environment, material possessions and financial institutions (its glyph is the Wall Street Bull.)  It is hard-headed, does not like unexpected change and is a fixed earth sign.

US Sibley Chart Taurus cusp is on the Fifth house at 7⁰.  The fifth house rules the stock market.

Saturn and Pluto Conjunct South Node:

In 2019 and 2020, Saturn and Pluto are traveling through the last decanate of Capricorn, the Virgo decanate between 20 to 30. Pluto and Saturn descend into the Lunar South Node in Capricorn on April 4, 2019 and April 30, 2019 respectively. Saturn descends two more times into the South Node on July 4, 2019 and September 28, 2019.

Saturn and Pluto meet up with their OWN PLANETARY NODES in Capricorn this year and next.

Currently, Pluto’s Descending or South Node at 21:47 Capricorn is less than a degree from the 1776 Saturn Planetary Node at 22:38 Capricorn in the USA Sibley chart (July 4, 1776, 5:10 pm LMT, Philadelphia, PA). Back in 1776, the Founding Fathers declared their desire to restructure (Pluto) their relationship to the authority (Saturn), King George III as Pluto moved through Capricorn, squared Saturn in Libra and joined Saturn’s Descending Node.

Currently, Saturn’s Descending or South Node is at 27:36 Capricorn, the same degree as the USA Pluto 27:32 Capricorn in the Sibley chart. Back in 1776, Pluto hadn’t been discovered. The Founding Fathers who were Masons and astrologers didn’t know Pluto was in the Second House of values, resources and money. Now as Saturn descends into its own Planetary South Node, the USA has Pluto approaching its own Pluto return ~ an event that happens every 248 years. We can expect profound restructuring and renovation around our second house:  talents, values, portable assets, financial institutions and actual money.

Pluto dives into his Descending or South Node on February 6, 2019, July 18, 2019 and December 13, 2019. Saturn dives into his Descending or South Node on February 24, 2020, August 3, 2020 and November 21, 2020. Mark these days and pay attention to the events that take place as they mark major shifts in belief systems and world views. Often we look back with 20/20 hindsight to see how monumental the event was. Now we have a front seat to world history as Saturn and Pluto meet up in Capricorn on January 12, 2020 and dance on their own Nodes of Destiny with the Lunar Nodes these next two years.

In the USA, we will be offered the opportunity to restructure the decisions and choices made back in 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was signed.

The world is about to go on a Saturn-Pluto roller-coaster. We each have a part to play in the upcoming energy and events. In fact, the reason you are here as a witness to the energy, incarnated at this time, is because you have a role to play. Make sure you are on the side of history you want to be remembered for.

Saturn Pluto Conjunct:

Conjunct at 22⁰ Capricorn; in Virgo Decant (Exact January 12, 2020)

Saturn is the great teacher.  It is the principle of contraction, it is rigid and solid.  It represents physical structure and organizational structure.  It rules business, heads of state and government.  Saturn resists change and seeks to stand still.

Saturn is a constructive energy which stores is power.

It also represents limitations, authority, stability, responsibility, endings and lessons learned.

Pluto energies either empower or overturn the entrenched status quo.  It also represents deep transformation.

Pluto is destructive and releases power and energy…for a transformation to enable creation of something new.

It also represents Death, power, sex, poison, taboos, the mob; all things nuclear and atomic, earthquakes and volcanoes, global wars, great catastrophes, assassinations…

When we have a Saturn and Pluto conjunctions we often see creation or destruction in society or in countries and nations.

The purpose of this conjunction in the heavens is to shake up political systems which are no longer working well, such as the colonial period in India in the previous example.  These then leave room for something new and better to take their place which is the result of a period of struggle.  Millions of people died during the clash between India and Pakistan as well as during the period of civil war in China.

On January 12, 2020, Saturn conjoins Pluto at 22⁰ Capricorn for a single, and dramatic, pass. We can expect this cycle to have an exceptionally powerful effect, from the year leading up to the conjunction and approximately two years following it. This cycle is bound to stimulate significant geopolitical dynamics that will affect the distribution of power in many structures on a global scale. Angular aspects between Saturn and Pluto are also known to reflect natural disasters, particularly seismic and volcanic activity.

At worst, with Mars in Aries retrograding later in 2020 and squaring the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, serious political conflicts and even a global war are possible.

We can expect rebellion on both the individual level (people leaving their workplace, reinventing themselves) and the collective level (worldwide protests demanding change). In light of growing separatist sentiment in the US, we may see the secession movement gaining greater momentum.

Astrologer Robert Hand (his influential books include Planets in Composite, Planets in Transit, Planets in Youth) – “Pluto is about power, but not just any kind of power. It is the power of the transformations that result as things come into being and pass away. The planet Saturn is not usually considered a force for change. It is often seen as resisting change—as being conservative, stubborn, even reactionary. These are qualities of Saturn, to be sure, but that is not the complete story. Saturn has to do with our experience of what underlies all order and structure.

“The Saturn-Pluto combination represents crises that come about as the normal, lawful, and predictable manifestations of Saturn are challenged by the need for deep and fundamental changes in the system, which are indicated by Pluto, Saturn-Pluto change is likely to impose some kind of restriction on our freedom of movement or upon our resources.”

Richard Tarnas (a professor of philosophy and depth psychology) in his important book Cosmos and Psyche suggests that the Saturn-Pluto cycle “coincides with especially challenging historical periods marked by a pervasive quality of intense contraction: eras of international crisis and conflict, empowerment of reactionary forces and totalitarian impulses, organized violence and oppression, all sometimes marked by lasting traumatic effects.”

He notes how the Saturn-Pluto conjunction of 1785 to 1788 precipitated the bloody French Revolution, and how Saturn-Pluto alignments are “periods of widespread conservative, reactionary or repressive empowerment.”

He also notes they tend to be times of genocide. Back during the 410-412 conjunction, the Roman Empire experienced the most intense period of barbarian invasions. Rome was sacked in August 410, when the planets were exactly 2⁰ from alignment (the same exact 2⁰ from alignment happened on the 9/11 attack on the US).

Writing on the impact of the 1982 conjunction and a connection with the AIDS crisis—“An important characteristic set of Saturn-Pluto themes emerged in the collective psyche in the widespread rise in fundamentalist interpretations and moralistic judgments on the epidemic of God’s righteous punishment of sin.”

This phenomenon, he says, closely resembled the emergence of widespread views in medieval Europe when the bubonic plague was seen as the result of God’s wrath during the Saturn-Pluto conjunction of 1380-1340. And it was seen again during the conjunction when 9/11/2001 happened and Christian fundamentalists said it was God’s punishment for moral corruption.

The positive potential of the Saturn-Pluto archetypal complex is usually inextricably intertwined with confronting its negative manifestations—great courage in the face of darkness, danger, and death; sustained effort and determination, intense focus and discipline; moral discernment and wisdom born from experience and suffering.

Saturn Conjunct Pluto in History:

1518 at 22⁰ Capricorn…Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg and began the Protestant Revolution.

October 5, 1914   2⁰ Cancer
August 11, 1947 13⁰ Leo
November 8, 1982 27⁰ Libra

World War I, which precipitated a reshuffling of power dynamics by dissolving the Russian monarchy, the Ottoman Empire, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which led to the redrawing of national borders within Europe.

  • The creation of Israel which took place in 1948.
  • Pakistan and India formed as different states
  • China became a communist country

  • Global economic recession
  • Highest Rate of unemployment in the US since the Great Depression
  • Escalation of the cold war during Reagan years which led to collapse of the Soviet bloc.
  • Aids Crisis
  • January 1983, Kilauea erupted and has become the longest-lasting eruption and it is still flowing.

Note: Very interesting a major eruption of Kilauea occurred in May 2018 as a precursor to the Saturn/Pluto conjunction.  It seemed to “kick off” the transition of Uranus into Taurus.

Saturn Conjunct Pluto possibilities:

The Saturn/Pluto cycle occurs roughly every 33-38 years, varying according to Pluto’s elliptical orbit.  This meeting of forces represents, among other things, the redistribution of power in the world, or, in other words, which faction will make the decisions that affect the greater collective, whether this occurs in plain sight or behind the scenes.  From a spiritual perspective, this cycle reflects a rite of passage determining who is most qualified to be the custodian of resources, and thus regulates who will be in a position of influence.  In its purest form, this cycle is one of the highest tests of integrity and morality for those in authority, along with a test of capacity and resilience.  Beyond management of power, this cycle is also about the skill to increase power and the value of resources.

Power and resources can be material but can take the form of knowledge, or spiritual potency, as well.  Saturn/Pluto reflects a lesson about the right use of power, so this cycle is also associated with corruption and abuse.  Since it holds the key to the “bank coffers,” it also describes the temptation to disregard moral standards and use global resources to satisfy one’s greed.  Sooner or later, corruption is exposed, for Saturn represents the karmic consequences of misaligned actions; however, “later” is more often the case, because exposing corruption can take time.

Good:  new skills in math, sciences, engineering, ESP, industrial infrastructure, new insights in genetics, physics and quantum physics

Bad:  Organized crime, tyranny, evil, abuse of power, corruption, ritual sacrifices.

The conjunction will be in Capricorn in early 2020, it may reflect an era of big business, when the multinationals will gradually become the biggest political force in the world, more powerful than national governments.

And maybe there’s another possibility, if you consider this: the last time there was a Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn was in January 1518, 2 months after Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg and began the Protestant Revolution.  This brought down entrenched establishment – in that case the multinational church.

So, I think the coming conjunction is likely to be both an empowerment of big business, but also a protest against it.

Astrologer Louis Acker:  “The negative side of Saturn/Pluto is about as bad as it gets as it signifies planned, organized and purposeful criminality, tyranny and evil at the highest level.  The Saturn/Pluto combination is associated with the worst abuse of power and corruption.  This influence will reach its peak in 2020 when Saturn will actually conjunct Pluto in Capricorn.

“The Saturn/Pluto conjunction could bring about the demise of important economic, corporate and political power structures and the downfall and disgrace of those who occupy positions of power in those institutions.  Debt-burdened major corporations, governments, banks and other economic institutions could come to a grinding halt signifying the death of old established political-economic power structure.  These power structures could become even more oppressive and tyrannical as they desperately try to remain in control.”

Mars retrograde to Aries (September 20-November 13, 2020)

Anticipate impatient, reckless energy; fights and anger; temper and violence; involvement of guns – and possibly the involvement of the armed forces.

As the Saturn/Pluto conjunct AstroMap positions Mars right over the middle of the country, there could be infighting and violence – especially gun violence – related to civil unrest.  The National Guard may be called in to maintain order.

Pluto Return 27⁰ Capricorn US Sibly Chart (February 21,2022 & again December 29, 2022)  Second House

With the return of Pluto to its natal position in the US birthchart, 27⁰ Capricorn in the Second House, we can anticipate a complete transformation (Pluto) of our monetary system, due to the collapse of our economy, banking system and currency.

The second house in mundane astrology rules the financial resources, economy and values of our society. Financial institutions such as banks, stock exchange, etc. are ruled by this house.  Also ruled are its main income source or how people earn their livelihood/money.

October 11, 2023, Pluto moves into Aquarius.  The new financial order will emerge.  Cryptocurrency will most likely be the by-product of this great change.

Jupiter Saturn Conjunction (December 21, 2020)

This conjunction is believed by many to have been the Star of Bethlehem in 7 BC when the two planetary bodies met in the sky.  It is marked by the rise and fall of royalty, leaders and great people.  It has a 19/20 year cycle.

The Jupiter/Saturn cycle is one of the most important markers representing what direction our lives are taking, personally and socially; it sets the tone for the “new order” we will all respond to.  This cycle occurs in signs of the same element three consecutive times, then changes to the following element, and then reverts to the previous element one last time.

We have just completed the earth cycle and will now be in the air cycle.

The new conjunction at 0⁰ Aquarius on the Winter solstice (12/21/20).

So, we can anticipate that the combination of the conjunction, in a new Air cycle, on the Solstice point will seed a new dawn, a new paradigm for humanity to unfold.  It symbolizes a breakthrough to “another side,” a shift in consciousness.  The sign of Aquarius flavoring this cycle hints at the need to come up with new solutions and elevate global consciousness.  While the earlier earth cycle drew attention to practical and financial matters, the Aquarius cycle will ideally bring a stronger focus on culture, progress and global emancipation.

We can be even more optimistic and hope for greater mainstream tolerance of astrology and recognition of it as an essential practice.

If we contemplate the whole sequence of astrological events in the year 2020, with its dramatic planetary alignments, we can anticipate great intensity and changes on many levels.  These events will likely have a destructive edge as a new world order is programmed – change is not always a smooth process.  However, since all the year’s transits culminate in the Jupiter – Saturn conjunction in Aquarius, we will see new solutions and paradigms emerge.  There is a promise of rebirth and a new vision that will gradually unfold in the following months and years.

This represents a fusion of tradition and innovation, the melding of antagonistic desires to maintain the status quo and yet to seek freedom from it simultaneously.  These are periods where traditional systems, methods, and approaches are forced into reformation.

This conjunction is likely to correlate with economic and political policies emerging from previously alienated voices and minds, as well as the desire for liberation from the constraints of the past.

While the 2020 period of Saturn/Pluto’s conjunction will likely be constraining, the Jupiter Saturn conjunction beyond it will help to offer up new solutions which can lead to fresh approaches to managing the economic, social and political challenges.

If we look beyond Saturn/Pluto conjunction and consider Saturn’s conjunction with Jupiter, a new order will emerge from the outsiders-many geniuses, rebels and the marginalized are likely to gain power and help shape new structures, and incredible technological innovations will help to catalyze that.

This cycle is bound to stimulate significant geopolitical dynamics that will affect the distribution of power in many structures on a global scale.  We can anticipate important changes in the natural resources industry, the banking system and regional and world leadership.  It is difficult to anticipate what direction this powerful influence will take (plutocracy, corporate governance or by the people).

Of course, the US Pluto natal Pluto is itself at 27⁰ Capricorn, guaranteeing a strong effect on the country’s economy around those years.

The initial intention of the Saturn/Pluto conjunction is to increase value and empower systems, but it is easy to mismanage these influences because they demand high ethical leadership, and therefore we must consider the prospect of a severe economic recession.  At worst, with Mars in Aries retrograding later in 2020 and squaring the Saturn/Pluto conjunction, serious political conflicts and even a global war are possible.

We can expect rebellion on both the individual level (people leaving their workplace, reinventing themselves) and the collective level (worldwide protests demanding change.)  In light of growing separatist sentiment in the US, we may see the secession movement gaining greater momentum.

The Saturn/Pluto Conjunct at 22⁰ Capricorn is in the Virgo Decanate which rules health.  Pluto represents poisons.  Capricorn is related to big business.  While there will be medical advances under the Uranian influence, I believe there will be revolution of the people against big-pharma and big-agriculture (Taurus) because of the way they have monetized the compromise of our health for their profit.

The Virgo Decanate also governs the ordinary worker.  Therefore, I anticipate we may see a revolt against working for “the man” – big business, as corporate America has lost their loyalty and morality as it pertains to how they pay, value and treat their employees.

April 8th, 2024 at the second marker of the US eclipse path, and may very well be the mark of a new United States; new government; revised Constitution or the birth of many new nations and governments that emerge from the regions that break away from our Republic to form a new nation.

I foresee:

  • Tecumseh effect, 2020 election, possibly the newly elected President will be shot.  Could lead to riots/chaos/violence.
  • The fall from grace of people of power, royalty and prominence.
  • Stock market, banking & financial quakes resulting in a Great Depression of epic proportions. (Pluto was discovered in 1929.  Auspicious)
  • Major destructive earthquake in continental US (most likely on the New Madrid Fault) and/or volcanic eruption which results in American refugees
  • Three simultaneous wars:  Civil War; American Revolution repeat; Word War III
  • Massive Death Tolls
  • The U.S. revolution/Civil War may very well come out of the west given the path of the transit and may be resultant of immigration issues as the path illumines our southern border.
  • Institutions of religions may be reformed, attacked and transformed both from inner corruption and outer forces.
  • A final battle between good (global emancipation/a brand new age) and evil (corporate greed based global governance; corruption and abuse of power).
  • The global debt burden ($270 trillion) unsustainable and there is global banking, corporate and economic collapse.
  • As a result of nations’ vulnerability from the collapse and beatdown (natural disasters, civil unrest, etc.) I see a power grab for territory and a nation’s resources by factions who wish to seize this opportunity to expand their authority, territory and power (and coffers.)
  • A complete restructuring of the United States, its constitution and “who’s in and who’s out.”  In fact, I see a completely new government and constitution or a serious edit of the one we have.  (The constitution chart is impacted by this transit as well.)
  • A rebellion against Big Pharma and Big Agriculture/Food when we learn we have been intentionally poisoned/sickened through our corporate food and agriculture which then sends us to be treated (for profit by Big Pharma) and then further poisoned/sickened through the drugs and therapies to prolong our treatment as a means for them to gain further profit.

I say this due to the Virgo Decanate of the Saturn/Pluto conjunction.

We WILL revolt over this.

  • Workers demand a fair and sustainable wage.
  • New currency due to Pluto return and collapse of economy and currency.

On the winter solstice of 2020 the Star of Bethlehem will make its appearance.  In our bible history, we learned this star led the three Kings to the newborn messiah.

The solstice is also the marker for our celebration of the birth of the messiah at Christmas.

As this is also very auspiciously at 0⁰ Aquarius, I see this as the great awakening of humankind.  I see the new Messiah is Us!!  Yes, the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

  • Global emancipation
  • A new vision and rebirth of humanity
  • A new world order
  • Technological innovation
  • New age/holistic healing emerges as mainstream medicine while innovations in bio-medical technology/healing therapies emerge
  • Humanitarianism
  • Advanced Thought
  • Advances in Science and engineering
  • A new take on organized religion
  • New innovation/ways electricity is accessible to us for use
